Due To Skills Shortages The Australian Caterpillar Dealer Was Unable to Train, Upskill or Recruit Sufficient Numbers of Caterpillar Dealer Trained Mechanics and Technicians in PNG To Meet Demand in Their Branches.
Recruit 10 highly skilled and experienced Caterpillar Dealer trained heavy equipment mechanics and technicians globally that are suitable to work in Caterpillar Dealer workshops and branches in PNG.
Apply for and obtain Australian work permits and visas for the mechanics and technicians and deploy them into the Caterpillar Dealer’s PNG Operations.
The PNG Caterpillar Dealer originally placed a purchase order for 10 Caterpillar Dealer Trained Heavy Equipment Mechanics.
The project was such an outstanding success that the actually numbers selected and hired was over 150. The Manager of PNG operations was so impressed with the standard of the candidates and how productive their were onsite and in helping to train and upskill PNG nationals they decided to expand the initial recruitment project.
